Gorinchem is a historic fortified city located on the Boven Merwede, in the heart of the Netherlands. The city offers cruise passengers a combination of history, culture, nature and easy access to the surrounding region. The cruise berth is located at Buiten de Waterpoort, within walking distance of Gorinchem's historic city centre. From here, passengers can explore the city or visit nearby attractions such as Loevestein Castle by ferry.
Berth
The cruise berth is located in the second outer harbour of Gorinchem, on the Boven Merwede. The berth is surrounded by a park-like area and is within walking distance of the historic fortified city centre.

Priority Reservations
Vessels offering a passenger programme in or from Gorinchem, Loevestein Castle or the immediate surrounding area receive priority when reservations are allocated. Please indicate this in CruiseDock when submitting your reservation request.

We are moving to CruiseDock in 2027. Throughout 2026 we'll be setting op this reservationsystem for Gorinchem. This will bring important changes for cruise operaters. Here you'll find everything you need to know about what's changing and how it affects you.

What does this mean for you?
2026 reservations
- The 2026 reservation year will continue to be processed through the existing system.
- New requests for 2026 must still be sent to lingehaven@gorinchem.nl.
- Do not enter 2026 requests in CruiseDock.
- Invoicing for 2026 will remain unchanged.
2027 reservations
- Reservations for 2027 that have already been submitted will be transferred to CruiseDock by Gorinchem.
- New 2027 reservations must be entered directly into CruiseDock.
- Communication about 2027 reservations, modifications and planning will take place exclusively through CruiseDock.
- In the final quarter of 2026, submitted 2027 requests will be processed and scheduled in CruiseDock.
2028 and beyond
- If you have already submitted reservations for 2028 or later, please ensure that these are entered into CruiseDock.
- Requests for 2028 will be reviewed and processed in the final quarter of 2027.

The above rates are exclusive of VAT and are adjusted annually on 1 January.
Tourist tax 2026
Tourist tax per person between 22:00 and 06:00 €2,65
Tourist tax is charged whenever a vessel uses the cruise berth between 22:00 and 06:00. It does not matter whether the vessel is moored for a short period or remains at the berth overnight.
Tourist tax 2026 is calculated based on 80% passenger occupancy. Therefore, when making a reservation for a vessel that will be at the cruise berth in the municipality of Gorinchem at any time between 22:00 and 06:00, the maximum number of persons on board must always be provided.
In 2027 you can share the exact number of passangers in CruiseDock and we will calculate that number for the tourist tax. If not given in Cruise Dock we will calculate 100% passanger occupancy.
The tourist tax rate includes VAT and is adjusted annually on 1 January.
Cancellation Policy
Reservations for the cruise berth at Buiten de Waterpoort are mandatory. A reservation is only confirmed once you have received confirmation from Gorinchem.
How reservations are handled

- During the final quarter of each year, the calendar for the following year is prepared.
- In the final quarter, invoices are issued for reservations for the following year.
- Requests for the current calendar year are fitted into the existing schedule where possible.
- Reservations are not optional. Reservation fees are payable unless no berth is available in Gorinchem on the requested date.
- Reservations and cancellations for 2026 are handled via: lingehaven@gorinchem.nl
- All reservations and cancellations for 2027 and beyond must be submitted through CruiseDock. Email will no longer be used for reservations, cancellations or planning for these years.
Facilities
Pedestrian area and access exceptions
The cruise berth is located in a pedestrian area. The area is closed off by a retractable bollard. Leaving the area is always possible. Simply drive up to the bollard and it will automatically lower.To enter the area from outside, use the intercom button at the bollard. Engineers and vehicles delivering supplies to the vessel can therefore always reach the ship after using the intercom.

Please state that you are using the passenger vessel berth at Buiten de Waterpoort in Gorinchem. Waardlanden will then arrange an appointment with you for waste collection. If you already know in advance that you will need to dispose of waste, we recommend contacting the waste collection service a few days before your arrival.
